Ophthalmology Specialist
Mr Shahram Kashani FRCOphth MSc is a UK trained Ophthalmologist. He is currently the clinical lead for Ophthalmology at East Sussex NHS Healthcare Trust (ESHT) and has been a substantive consultant for over 7 years. His specialist interest includes high volume and complex cataract surgery with premium lens implant and management of challenging retinal disorders such as age related macular degeneration, retinal vascular disorders and ocular inflammation.
Mr Kashani has had the privilege of training at various leading London teaching hospitals including the world-renowned Moorfields Eye Hospital where he was competitively selected for advanced sub speciality fellowship in medical retina. His clinical practice also includes management of patients with general ophthalmic pathology such as cataract, dry eye and glaucoma
He is keen on research with over 40 publications and numerous presentations at national and international level. He attends meetings regularly to keep up to date with latest technological advances in ophthalmology.
